Relax and Go Inward
Soundscape meditations are generally textural in nature. They combine elements of nature based sounds (which can be anything from a gentle rain to whale song), with music, and even artificial simulations done using modern sound synthesis. They offer an opportunity to “unplug” from the outside world, relax and to get lost in the evolving ebb and flow of the composition.
Unlike a more disciplined breath-based meditation where you are trying to quiet your mind, in a soundscape meditation you just relax and let the meditation pull your inward. You allow the visual experience to just bubble up as you listen.
Most often these meditations have a theme and “Celtic Sea Shore’s” theme is the sound of the ocean shore. As a sailor and longtime lover of quiet walks on the beach, Tom Sterner created this as his first soundscape meditation offering with more to follow. Musical swells with soft feminine vocals, the ocean surf and the occasional seagull passing in the distance offer a nice respite from the stresses of the outside world. Approximately 30 minutes in length.
